Minding toddlers, just like trying to herd cats! Mind you cats would be simpler at least they sleep most of the time.

Grumpy Grandad :-P

I was thinking that too Lyndi. Why would you want a teenage child in your 60's or 70's :-S

Your daughter is so lucky to have a mum like you who can help Shirley. When I take little one to play sessions so many of the mums say their own parents are unable or in some cases unwilling to help, or can only help for a couple of hours at a time :-(

Haha Sandra, I now have to watch what J puts in the bag when we pack for her to go home :-D

SueMaid, I am now even less able to understand 50-60 year old women who go for IVF! :-S
2-3 days a week is enough for me lol.

That is tough on your daughter Shirley, all credit to her for coping so well with a difficult situation.
Does this mean you will now be helping out more often? x

I usually take J to play sessions at the school, but it was so cold and windy we were at home for the two days. Entertaining her at home is far more exhausting than going out.
And getting older is definitely a factor Paula!

I had my step grandson on Tuesday. He is coming up 13 but has special needs so is about 7 in mental age. He is a handful wants 1to1 attention all the time as he is on the cusp of autism. . Normally I won't allow him on my PC as in the past he has locked up his dads and daughters laptops. He has his own PC and seems to be a whizz on it now. He will use powerpoint and set up pages for his work.as he calls it . He downloads pictures from other sites and loads em on his page.

It kept him amused although got a call from my grandson .is K with you as he is on your Facebook page. Little devil he was posting on there . We did manage to delete it.

Oh the joys got him again on Sunday evening for two days.

How my daughter copes I admire deeply and she works full time. Normally he went to a childminder but she wouldn't have him any more cos he can get aggressive and she has to mind the welfare of the other kiddies she has.

Don't you just wish you had the energy you had when your own children were this age, along with the patience and life experience you have now!!
And the blocked toilet is most definitely a blue job :-D

We looked after our two youngest grandchildren on Tuesday, one nearly five and the other just two. They are delightful boys, and we love having them but it's rather hectic. We can entertain a dozen friends with less stress. <3 <3

I don't think they are more difficult than our other grandchildren where at their age it's just us getting older!

I am on a 'rest day' after two days with my 22 month old granddaughter, so know how you are feeling!!
Love her to bits and have lots of fun with her but was pleased to see her go home with mummy last night.
I dread the time she starts going without her daytime nap - that's grandma's rest time as well (I love taking myself to my room with a cuppa lol)
Enjoy your day ;-) :-D
