I have been through this with my pets and it's always hard to make that final decision but when a beloved cat or dog is poorly we cannot allow them to suffer so have to be brave and put their needs first. |

what a lovely story about rainbow bridge,it made me cry reading it,i had an old english sheep dog who was everything to our family, she was never ill, then suddenly she had a massive stroke one saturday evening and we had to have her put to sleep it broke our hearts she was 14 years old.Two years later we aquired a black cocker spaniel dog Lucy was her name. She was completly out of her tree,we eventially trained her and she was a great companion considering we never wanted her,she had spondolitus,a toe amputated and then developed liver cancer.I knew and so did Lucy when it was time to go for a long sleep.we were heartbroken again,Lucy was 8years old.i am so glad to think she is somwhere with my other dog on Rainbow Bridge,My sympathies to you as i know how you feel. :-( |
