I was talking to Fred today about what he was going to be doing this week. Asked him if he was going to go to the cafe where he had his roast last week for his lunch tomorrow. He will,of course, be having sausage sandwich the next day and be visiting Wetherspoons when he has his eyes tested on Friday.

He protested that it gets very expensive to keep going out like that.

Because I consider it important that he should get out and about as much as possible I suggested I might give him a bit of extra pocket money if he needed it. He gets £20 a week for his purposes, whatever they may be!

Just to be sure he was alright for money I had a look in his case where he keeps his pocket money.

I should say the crafty old bugger is alright for money. He's got nearly £150 stashed away in there and you can be sure it is not being saved up to buy me a nice surprise!

It is in a safe place, he doesn't intend for it to go anywhere.

He's been out and spent some!

He went again to the cafe where he had his roast.

No cooing tonight then tee-hee.

I expect people think it is the only time the poor old gentleman gets a decent meal with that horrible neglectful daughter of his!
