Still not caught the 19 year old. How he managed to get away is a mystery - just ran straight through police lines that had shot his brother. He reversed his vehicle over his brother apparently as he drove away. And they lost him!!!! :-0 :-0 :-0

The Governor of Massachusetts has lifted the curfew (or lock-down or whatever it was called) and people have been told to be vigilant. Not sure they need to be told.

Thought to have been living in MA for less than two years.

Seems the police chased the car they were in and the occupants of the car threw explosives at the police chasing them, one resident in the area was sitting at his computer when a bullet came through the wall of his house, police are telling people to stay in their houses and if anyone they do not know approaches their house to call the police, also telling motorists in the area not to stop to give anyone a lift.

OFG. Thanks for that. Saw the footage this morning and images of two suspects were remarkably clear.

Had not realised police were on their tail already and one was dead.

Hope they catch other alive as it will be easier to find out their background, their friends, and their motives.

Have been watching the BBC news, seems they have identified the bombers, frightening events following police chasing a vehicle they were in, one killed other escaped on foot and they are trying to track him down.

One of 3 confirmed dead is a boy of 8 who had just kissed his dad after dad had crossed finishing line. His mother and sister both had amputations, I believe.

It is so easy to put a nail and ballbearing bomb in a litter bin, but so cowardly and for what purpose. Are the Americans going to stop hunting terrorists as a result? Hardly, the people of Boston sound so strong and resilient in the aftermath of this tragedy

It's even more dreadful when I am so familiar with those streets on TV right now.

Just said on the news that the JFK incident is a fire but they don't know if it is linked.

According to TV News there are reports of another explosion at the JFK Library in Boston.

Dreadful.... hope its just a gas explosion as it happened 3 hours after the winners crossed the line,

Boston Police have confirmed 2 dead, 28 injured. Aerial shots show huge quantities of blood near the hotel. And ballbearings on the road. Just over 4 hours into race, so elite runners would have finished 2 hours earlier

Boston is my favourite city.
I love it there.
My daughters are so upset as they are Boston Sports fans and have many friends in the area . Some live there and others are there for the Patriots Day Marathon.
They were watching the Red Sox game tonight and then this happened.
They are madly tweeting and texting all their friends in New England
