Mau I have fond memories of Meet me in St Louis. My big sister took me to see it.

My all time favourite one to (nearly shed a tear - I don't often) is From Here to Eternity when Pruett ie Montgomery Clift plays the last post for his friend Frank Sinatra.

Dear All

Hello

Here a few tear-jerkers:

"Christmas Holiday", made in 1944 with Deanna Durbin and Gene Kelly.
Both were cast against type in this adaption of Somerset Maugham's book.

"Robin and Marian" with Sean Connery and Audrey Hepburn....the end scene.
Plenty of tissues needed.

"Penny Serenade" with Cary Grant and Irene Dunne.

Take gentle care all
Best wishes
EOS
xx

I always cry at the end of Breakfast At Tiffany's, when she throws the cat out of the taxi, then franticaly tries to find it again. When the little soaking soul reappears, I just can't help myself!

Cat! Cat! ......gulp.

Mau i so hope you enjoy it. I've got the Directors Cut.

When i found it was an Italian film with sub titles.......i thought oh, i don't think i can be bothered with that. But actually it just wouldn't be right if it was dubbed over.

It is a brilliant film and the music alone is quite stunning.

I fall in love every time i watch it!! :-D

3 times actually.

Firstly with the young boy who is wonderful.....and then the gawgiss teenager.......and then by the end of the film, when the teenager is now a man in his 40's, i am sobbing me widdle heart out screaming..............marry me!!!

I will be interested to know what you think of it.
