It is the most heart-warming film I know, Emma, but, sad to say, I don't cry easily :-( <3

I love it too. Bought it on dvd earlier in the year and was surprised to find two discs.
One original and the other a colour version.

Every time a bell rings.................. <3

The acting is great. Remember the old man dispensing the wrong meds and ended up slappin George on his bad ear. Brilliant acting

My other fave is The Bishops Wife with Cary Grant & David Niven. Oh not forgetting the original Scrooge!

Sobs ...pack it in you lot...me eyes are red
and me nose is running...not a good look :-(

I also love the original "Little Women" Judy Garland,
Elizabeth Taylor, Margaret O'Brian etc, and that is my
all time favourite book. Bought it for my daughter, grand
daughters and when my great grand daughters are old
enough I will buy it for them :-D

I've no doubt I will get around to it one day but not on youtube, although thanks for that. Remember seeing little women when very young, loved the stories, Little Women, Little men etc.

Beautiful film :-D :-D... role of George Bailey was originally to go to Cary Grant. Afterwards RKO gave Cary Grant the film 'The Bishop's Wife'.

I love the scenes where the boys are sliding down the bank on their shovels,looked so carefree :-D
