Balls in the Air

My house hunting is getting to be a bit like juggling. There are only so many you can keep in the air before you drop some.
I´ve dropped a few some being easier to drop than others. That left us with 5 that we have seen so far. We have in our wisdom decided to limit our choice to 3, keeping the others handy incase they come back into play. So we made a list of things that we needed and awarded points to each house. Now I have to add here that 1 of the houses that we sort of said was not practical I couldn´t rule out ...I just kept it in my hand instead of throwing it in the air. !
Well in the point system that house came out top ..what a way to throw a curve ball ! also in the top 3 is the most practical as it´s right in the centre of a decent size village with shops, bars, medical centre etc, in the right direction for OH but the least liked, but it had to be in there because on paper it gives us everything we asked for apart from off street parking and a pool (they were not deal breakers). Once the decision was made we contacted estate agents with a list of questions that we needed to know the main one was the Catastral reference number. Now this is equivilant to land registery and lets you know what work is legally done and what isn´t . No surprises that the village house who´s garage has been converted (see episode 14 of a Place in the Sun http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=699T6MS3k9c 22.04mins) will not give their catastral number over with out an offer .
Yeah right, hubby wants kicked that ball right out of the game because it confirms to us what we feared when I asked about the change in garage use. Funnily enough we also would have converted the back living area into a bedroom with doors !
So I now have 2 balls held in hands, well it still is the cheapest and most practical and 1 in the air. UNTIL today when trawling the net I found another 2 possibles. A 5 bed 5bath shared pool no grounds but right in the heart of where we originally wanted to be, 600 metres from the beach (snag there is a 2nd storey added so how many rooms on ground floor) and another lovely middle of nowhere 100 odd year old.
And so after next week the balls go back in the air ! My sanity takes another nose dive but how many balls will I hang onto !
The other question is will my head rule my heart or the heart win out, or can the 2 compromise?

It`s so confusing at times trying to juggle every bodies wants and needs for immediate living and eventual living. :-S

Bob of course the Saga continues what on earth would you all do without my sagas ? ...ermm there is no need to answer that HONEST

Ann, In many ways I am I have seen more of the area in the last few weeks than I have seen in the 9years I have lived here. Also the searching and sorting is keeping my brain active. Also you know me even when I am having a grumble I do try to make it amusing as I do like to see the funny side of things. I guess you know when things really get bad with me is when I can´t or don´t try to make it funny or joke. So yes I may be pulling my hair out and all that but at the moment I have time to whistle in the wind and be incredibly picky, I hate to think what I will be like when Mum´s house actually is sold and I have to make a decision for all of us. OH has said that the decision is mine because (apart from it being my Mum) it is me that will have to be there most and look after all the people, animals etc around us. He has his work and he drives. and yes it´s fun at the moment because like with the village house we have stumped the estate agents with what we asked for as they didn´t expect that type of question.
