We had quite a nasty frost last night here in the Medway area of Kent

I will buy some bedding plants for the few containers we have but as they have to bedded out will have to wait till all signs of overnight frosts are gone. We dont have a greenhouse or the facility to hold tender plants, they have to go out when they are bought.

Where Merlin?

I went to garden centre on Bexhill Road yesterday & the only plants they were selling half price were primulas.

It was heaving, although a lot of the people were there for the children's soft play area, there was one obvious birthday party of toddlers with their sandwiches and cake and little beakers of squash, vey sweet. And because they then go into the play area which is enclosed, there is no noise.

We didn't need much as we already have most of what we need but OH's tumber tomatoes for baskets haven't taken off, and as we go off in a week or so he needs to get some sorted. (lovely neighbours look after the plants for us. We got five tumbler tomato plants for £5. which was just what he wanted, then we got 6 fuchsias and 2 million bells to finish off the baskets for £8. These are all well established plants so we were pleased we went. This was Wyvale with a loyalty card, offers for members.

We're in the SE. The forecast is suggesting lows of 2 to 4 which is making me a bit hesitant :-0

It depends on which part of the country you live in Det. I think we're probably alright here down south now.

Thankyou Ann - I got your message, sorry I wasn't able to answer and have a chat with you. You have such a lovely voice :-D

Also, apologies for sending a cheque, but I never send cash in the post since a birthday card containing cash which I sent my daughter a few years ago never arrived :-(

Has the risk of frost passed yet? That's one of the things putting me off buying bedding plants yet. :-0
