Some are free but others as subscriptions only.

FREE ..........The 1911 & 1901 IRELAND CENSUS

Go to www.census.nationalarchives.ie/ and search!


When you've found one that is 'yours' then click on the name and then click on

Household Return (Form A), Page 1 to see the census image


N.B. I have discoverd that some records are in IRISH not ENGLISH!

Which may explain why some of you cannot find any records.

Elizabeth and Paul. That was an excellent article in Your Family History. Plenty of Irish articles in YFH. One that really impressed me was of a lady who went over to Cork looking for Ferrily ancestors.

That has encouraged me to break down my Mahoney ancestors brick wall with a trip to the Emerald Isle :-) Doubt I will be as fortunate as she was, but you never know.
