We more or less do the same as Kuros.
Most 1hr episodes of our favourite programmes contain about 15 mins worth of ads. (The Following on Sky Atlantic and Nashville on More4 are the ones!)
Start recording the programme but don't watch until it's about 15- 20 mins in.
We watch, skip through the ads, and when we reach the end...we are in TV real time!

I have never yet been tempted by an advert on TV.
My pet hate at the moment are the ones for Victoria Plumb bathrooms.

I am researching the Wotherspoon family from the Old/New Monkland areas of Scotland, some moved to the Leslie and Kelty areas of Fife and I'm having problems linking the Wotherspoon's from Leslie and the Wotherspoon's from Kelty. Aye! It's made from girders.
It's sweet and sticky and destroys carpets if spilled.

I actually know people who deliberately spilled it when they tired of their flooring ,and coz it stains so badly... the insurance paid out!

The one pushing a gambling site makes my skin crawl.

On the other hand,I love the one with the children having a ball playing with boxes.

Mind you,I havn't a clue what they are advertising.

Aye, OneFoot and Glasgow Lass, it is my My National Drink and I like it but I hate the adverts - the one about "Fanny" and the one about the lady with the new uplift bra!!!
