Oldies they say are generally set in their ways - I'm an old fogie I know that - but I'm open to anything.

It is claimed that many serious researchers are from the older generation - makes sense I suppose.

Just curious - wonder how many members would acknowlege they are over 60 or dare I say 65 even better 70+

Edit: I'm a plonker at times - I never admit my age but nearer 70 is all I will say

Kay???? Report 25 Apr 2013 13:10

Being over 60 is kept quite, hushed up, in the dark,

OneFootInTheGrave Report 25 Apr 2013 14:22

I am only 30 plus 40 years old, and well set in my ways and routines, always been fairly open minded about most things, each to their own I say ;-)

PollyinBrum Report 25 Apr 2013 14:37

I am 69 this year (Ouch did I really just admit to that)

To me age is not important it's just a question of mind over matter, if you don't mind then it does not matter.

We went out for dinner with my DIL and son last night ( a man with impeccable taste,) and he said "Mom you look great", so I told my OH when we got home and he said "You always do"

How lucky am I? <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Porkie_Pie Report 25 Apr 2013 14:42

Nothing to do with how age is perceived but I was brought up never so ask a lady her age,

Something to do with good manners i believe

PollyinBrum Report 25 Apr 2013 14:44

CupCakes Report 25 Apr 2013 15:10

Sorry I edited my post at the top about my age - I find it very difficult to handle the age issue I have to admit

PollyinBrum Report 25 Apr 2013 15:14

Exotic dancer indeed!!....don't think we had many of those in the clubs where I played!
It was mainly male dominated and I was sooo shy I was even embarrassed to go off to the Ladies.
Im still in touch with some of the musicians (who are still with us) through the Internet and met up with one last year that I hadn't seen for 55 years! ...we even recognised each other!!...don't know what that says??

Porkie_Pie Report 25 Apr 2013 15:35

Paula, It keeps me Young at heart,

I still go to live gigs and only stopped clubbing abt 10 years ago, More down to the cost than age, my intake of alcohol dictates and its expensive in those places

Still rocking and rolling as they say
