I have had a message from Sheila and a text from Joyce, to ask me to put up this thread.

Joyce was taken into hospital this morning with thrombosis of the lungs, she is on medication so hopefully will be lots better soon. She is in the right place to be looked after and will have to do as she is told lol

Joyce does have her phone with her (and the charger lol) so will be able to stay in contact to some extent. Jan must be worried but it might mean he gets a better night's sleep tonight once he has visited Joyce and taken in everything she will have asked for that she didn't take this morning.

I will keep you updated as and when I hear news.

Just spoken to Joyce on her mobile, she really sounds very poorly. As some of you have said, I also told her that she's in the best place. Once the medication they are giving her starts to do what it should, hopefully she will feel a lot better.

Thinking about both Joyce and Jan.

Thinking of Joyce and her husband Jan. I hope that she will begin to feel a little better by tomorrow when the medication begins to kick in.

I also feel for her family who are so far away, they must be quite anxious too.
