Well folks, Joyce is home, as from yesterday but I wasn't able to speak with her till mid evening and then only for a short time. She sounded stronger and is awaiting a visit from the thrombosis team, which I think is on Friday. I think also she has to have an injection every day as well.

When I can speak with Dutch more I will let you know how things are going. She did manage to have a look at the thread since she got home and says thank you for all the lovely messages.

Thanks for the update Liz - hope Joyce keeps on making good progress and does as she is told. I expect she is glad to be home there is nothing like a good nights sleep in your own bed.

Take care Joyce and do as you are told.

Love Mary xx

I just had a quick chat with Joyce but then the nurse came to bandage her legs so we had to ring off.

She is very down, and in so much pain in her feet. Jan is doing her injections every day and today the thrombosis team should come to visit her too. Yesterday when the doctor called to see her, she said it took her an age to get to the door because of the pain in her feet.

Not being able to get around easy is a nightmare for our Joyce, it's a shame she can't get out but hopefully one of her friends will pop round to see her and brighten her day altho she does get so tired, they might find her asleep.

Keep sending those positive thoughts please.

Will send more news when I can

Suzanne Report 3 May 2013 23:44

yes you were JUDE :-P

bestwishes for a speedy recovery DUTCH from your many problems.

my daughter had to inject herself in the stomach to prevent clots,3days after having a c- section, injections 3 times a day for 7 days, also my sister at age 42 and suffering from MS also had to inject her self because of a clot in the lung.

no one can prevent these things happening,so scary but so common now.x

Joyce is lucky with Jan, he does a lot for her and isn't that well himself with all the worry and having to do a lot when he gets home from work.
