Scalpolene could help him to remember.

**Ann** Report 30 May 2013 20:10

We have just had a news update here stating he has confessed to the prison padre that he put her remains in the river.

What he has put those poor parents through all these months with his lies beggars belief.

RIP Little April

I do get the impression that Bridger will always be a control freak. Like Ian Brady, who always kept his secrets back because it gave him power over the families of his victims.

And he will keep appealing as long as it keeps him in the public eye. :-( :-(

The man is pure evil, he brutally butchered the dear child then disposed of her body Only he knows where she maybe. He is a pathological liar and is continuing to control the lives and the pain and suffering of her family and friends. He has no conscious , he will never tell. My thoughts are with the family of April.

OFITG has said what I was going to. The family cannot complete the grieving process without a funeral. Whatever mortal remains are left, Bridger should tell the authorities where he disposed of them. If there is any possibility of retrieval I'm sure we would all wish that avenue should be explored again.

What a monster! I am just speechless thinking about so shocking a crime.
RIP little April and may her parents find support and comfort from those around them.

I just hope and pray he will now tell the police what he done with Aprils remains to help her parents come to terms with the nightmare they have endured since their daughter disappeared, that will not be easy for them but being able to lay her to rest will help them on that journey.

The judge at Mold Crown Court has given Mark Bridger a life sentence with a whole life tariff, personally I hope after they put him in his prison cell they throw away the key.

sounds like a plan to me Merlin

As there is no longer the Death Penalty in this Country and he will no doubt be languishing in prison for life (Hopefully) perhaps they would be humane enough to let him share a cell with "Charles Bronson" who, given his dislike of Child Abusers/ killers, would welcome him with open arms for his kind of retrebution.**M**.

The jury has found Mark Bridger guilty abduction, also the murder of April Jones, and perverting the course of justice.

OneFootInTheGrave Report 29 May 2013 16:06

I agree StaffyKnot - any guilt or remorse they have would end with the death penalty, let them suffer in jail till they die - whatever the punishment dished out to Mark Bridger, April's nearest and dearest have to carry their loss and grief for the rest of their lives.

R.I.P. April Jones

BarneyKent Report 29 May 2013 15:53

We all feel for this little girl and her family. May they one day find peace.

Many people are calling for the death penalty to be brought back but I believe today's punishments are far worse. Without trying to prejudge the sentence it is very unlikely that this monster will ever be released and will die in prison a broken man.

Stuart Hazell got a minimum 38 years for the murder of Tia Sharp. Today he is a 37 year old man in his prime. Even if he does get out at the minimum term, (which is doubtful), he will be an institutionalised old man of 75 when he is released.

Myra Hindley was never a happy woman, she went into prison aged 23 and died in custody aged 60. Even her Open University degree and the misguided efforts of the pathetic Lord Longford could not make her happy. Hanging would have been much easier for her to bear.

Ian Brady has been confined now for 48 years, he will never be released. He is being force-fed and spends his days curled up on a chair hugging a hot water bottle.

Mark Bridger will have many decades to think over what he did to poor April, he is 47, if he lives for 40 years he will be 87 and still in prison.

These punishments are horrendous but so deserved. I personally hope that Brady, Hazell and Bridger live to the age of 100 with all the sufferings that will entail by being in prison.

If/when he is imprisoned I hope he is NOT put in solitary confinement for "his own protection". Let the other prisoners treat him in the same way he treated April.

Sue - those are my thoughts as well, I just hope and pray that once the trial finishes that the media will show respect and give her loved ones the space and time to recover from this terrible ordeal.

supercrutch

supercrutch Report 29 May 2013 14:36

We get the full reports every night, which in all honesty we could do without.

This man could have saved the family from sitting day after day hearig truly terrible details of what happened (or the speculation of what happened) to their loved child. If he had uttered the one word 'guilty'.

He has chosen to either deliberately deny remembering or truly doesn't recall due to the horrific nature of what he did. However, there is no denying that he did kill April, that should have been enough to convict him without prolonging the trial.

I truly hope her parents and family will find peace somehow, sometime.
