OK, I'll try water dragon oil :-D They've moved under the house (winter coming) so I can sneak up on them when they're slower moving. ;-)

Seriously, I try not to use products with oil on my face.... figuring out the contents isn't easy!

:-D

Scozz, I think your batch is past both its sell buy and use by date!

Try this for a change...

http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1421375

Edit. Also available in 2 oz and 4 oz tubes so you can 'take it with you'.

I found it on another site and someone posted they used it after shaving! Yep!

When I checked it was someone with a male name. (Ya just don't know these days!)

If all else fails there's always WD-40.

(I tried to remove blood from a pillow case the other day with it but no luck. Bedding smells nice, though!)

Barry, all blood stains can be removed by putting milk and a small bit of washing up liquid on the stains, rub well, then rinse well & wash as usual.Has always worked for me.

My OH read a letter in his favourite yachting magazine recommending the use of "udder ointment" on boat propellers as it inhibits the growth of underwater weed.

It also said you could buy the same stuff in the chemist for human use but at three times the price!! It is lanolin based and smells quite pleasant.

It sounded good, so he bought a kilo tub, through Amazon, for £12.99, inc. p&p.

The container my vet friend gave me was a HUGE vet-size one. He said to take what I needed and give the rest back to him, because there was no way I would use the lot before the use by date (I think it was about 2Kg). Nothing fancy about the container at all.

I took some from the container and put it in an empty jar, that used to hold face cream. It's probably well past the use by date now, but I used it last week and so far I haven't noticed any weird growths on my face.

I'll hang on to it for a while, it works better than anything the doc recommended (even prescription stuff) on my eczema.

I'll put a better label on it!!

:-D

Why do I have the urge to rub my back on a fence post? :-D

I got some Hemp lip salve from the Body Shop, lovely stuff!

Not cheap, but loads better than anything else I've tried.

Years ago when my eldest was a young teen suffering with acne he was getting a sympathetic ear from his auntie who we were visiting for dinner.

Later , whilst he was eating some profiteroles she handed him a small tub and said " try some of my special cream ".

He put the cream on his pudding and pulled a face but politely kept on eating. It was only later, when she noticed the empty pot by his bowl that auntie pointed out that the cream was for his face and he had just eaten about £20 worth !!!!!

We still tease him about it, says that he thought that for a special cream it tasted pretty foul, it never occurred to him that he wasn't supposed to eat it. M
