That's mean Marilyn :-| :-| :-P.Really Really mean.
When Mum was still at home in Wembury I always bought a dozen Pasties from the Elburton Bakery .(the one that is just tucked off the main rd) and brought them home here to freeze.I do miss a bl***y good Pasty and a Cream Tea.
I should be mean and say I hope you have dreadful indigestion ,but haven't the heart, especially as you have made them yourself :-D :-D :-D ENJOY!

GRMarilyn Report 3 May 2013 16:57

Hello Jane.....Elburton pasties are not as good as mine.... ;-)

Indigestion yes I'll get it !! but I have my pint of Gaviscon to sort that out ..LOL

Only 15mins and they will be ready, have to have a bottle of brown sauce at the ready !

I'll be missing for half an hour then to devour my pasty .. :-D

We used to Ivor Dew d*** when I was young. But Mum never let us eat them in the street lol....far too common.I think the shop is still there isn't it (New George St?)
Brown sauce is an absolute must with Pasties.I'm not keen on all these new fangled pasties.Just give me a good old traditional and I'm happy :-D

Mwaaahh......delicious went down a treat with a cuppa.

Mau.....Cornish pasties are known to be crimped on the side..... Devon ones crimped on top !
Most folk do what they are best capable of doing.

My grandmother was Cornish my grt grand mother was also and always crimped on the side........my mother born and bought up in Devon tended to crimp on top as many do in Devon.....no strict rule for either.

My pasties are made with flaky pastry like my mothers (Devon) and my grandmothers were always shortcrust pastry (Cornish).

Just observation over the years with granny & mother !

So I make flaky crimped on the side ...LOL :-D......... I be a DEVON MAID.
