OH and our mate picked up a couple of birds in my absence,Jean and Betty, neither of whom are quite eighty yet.

When I got to the club the conjuror was at the table next to ours. Luckily he didn't come to ours so I managed to escape that.

Those who saw him said how good he was but I just don't understand why he would want to be.

I think it depends on how good the conjurer/magician is. The best close up trick I saw was the disappearing lady from a square box which was done literally in front of me in my father in laws hotel, so no trap doors. The box was dismantled and was amazing. When the box was reassembled the lady stepped out of the box and had changed clothes. I have no idea how it was done.

Having said that everyone enjoys different forms of entertainment and as you don't enjoy conjurers then there is no point sitting through something and not enjoying yourself, that's more of a punishment.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your evening :-)

OH has gone to the club. I am just waiting for him to ring to tell me the conjuror has finished so that I can go.

GeordieinNorfolk - I met his daughter once. She seemed a well balanced individual & equally as daft as her dad.

Careful now - beware tabloid rumour.

Sharron - I agree with you on Tommy Cooper - I couldn't stand him, and found him deeply unfunny. Not a very nice person, either, it's said.

I am not there when the sausage sandwich trick is done. That is purely for his inner circle.

Yes I suppose you get bored with Magic Sharron, As you see it so often with Sausage Sandwiches disappearing at a rate of knots, must be quite tedious for you. :-D :-D :-D :-D

They didn't make me laugh. I know it is almost sacriligious to say so but I coud not watch Tommy Cooper.

At the club we use they are laying on a special Bank Holiday cabaret tonight. It is a conjuror.

Everybody is going to go but I will not be going with them.I will go in later, when it is finished.

Words cannot describe how much I don't enjoy watching a conjuror. It makes me angry.I want to knock that smug bloody smirk off his face!

Better I go in later I think.
