PP I thought the last episode wasn't one of the best, but think the current one 2nd episode tonight, is very intriguing.

Only problem I have is with the names, I often rewind to see who's who, Swedish names aren't the easiest to remember are they :-S

Sad to say that as much as I enjoyed the first 3 stories, I have found that the last couple have not been much cop.

Seemed to have lost the impetus.

And got very fed up with the wife & family of the policeman in the first episode who was accused of racism...

So sad

It's the last in the series tomorrow, there were 10. I do hope there are more to come.

I am still at a loss to know about the "magical" powers of the Persian cleaner, will all be revealed, or will we never know about him? Such a clever twist to put into the script.
Wonder what the next Scandinavian drama will be, whatever it is I look forward to it, my Scandinavian is coming on a treat :-D

Thank you for the info that there are some back episodes.

Taping ? Surely not this is 2012. I assume the word just means "record". However not everybody uses Freeview and prefer to just let Sky/Tivo do their thing. iPlayer recordings of course time out.

Here is a handy link to a utility which will save iPlayer programs to hard drive, no limit, no mucking about with DVD-R. in HD if available too.

It is not click n play but works from the command line. Works fine though!

I have not read any of the books
I think Arne Dahl (pen name) has only two books which have been translated into English
He also writes as Jan Arnald (real name) but not sure if any of these have been translated... I work in a library and dont recognise this name amongst the popular Scandanavian authors

"Nordic Noir" is what we collectively call Scandinavian crime fiction but they are really popular

The plots get better by the week, think tonight's episode was the best so far.

What 's very intriguing though is, the cleaner, what is he all about, the little touches of "magic" he performs, very subtle, but why. has anyone read the books, if so, do we ever get to know about him?

It's been on for 4 weeks already Rollo, 2 episodes. With all the Scandinavian stuff on lately, I'm nearly fluent :-D

PP I do exactly the same as you :-D

My favourite of all though is Borgen, so well acted and the story lines are wonderful. It's the best TV there is. I'm even looking forward to autumn when it returns :-D

Have really been enjoying this series. Tape them and watch the 2 episodes together.

10 episodes x 5 storylines.

Great stuff - but when the start speaking in English, I get a confused at first and wonder where the subtitles have gone, until I realise I can understand them!!!!

:-D :-D
