Could anyone help me find the history of my family home in London. I am trying to find out who lived there previously and general facts. Thanks.

Have you got the deeds?

Done any research at your local library to see if the house has been renumbered or the street renamed over the years?

If it was built by 1911, you can search by address on FMP (possibly other sites by using the address as a 'key word' ) to see who lived there. You might possibly be able to do that in earlier census.

One thing you do need to be prepared for is the changing to house numbering over the years. If you can get to the nearest library or archive, they might be able to help and also have some trade directories searchable by address for in-between years.

With help from others on the boards and a visit to the library, I did something similar last month. It did help that the house had a distinctive name as well as a number
