I don't understand when I hear employers slagging off British unemployed for being lazy. |

Well "Where there;s a Will there's a Way" so they say. Has any one seen in the papers (well The Daily Mail anyway) the article about a young lad abt 16 who is saving his mother a huge amount of money with his saving money off vouchersand on line saver sites etc. they had a supermarket bill of aprox £165 and they only paid abt £1.60 . Their Christmas lunch cost them 10p . Mind you think it takes an awful lot of time and patience to keep that up. Perhaps Sharron if you found that article you could cut it out for him lol! |

I grew up with a mother who was too poor and had too much to do and a father who didn't tackle too much because it was not his place to. |

Well my mom just liked people to think she was hard done by and she was always telling people how awful her children were to her and how hard she worked for us when we were young and yes she did work hard but we knew that and we weren't horrible to her. The worst sin I did was to go on a weeks holiday with my OH and 2 children and we didn't take them. How selfish was I! |

Reading this so reminds me of my mom in her later years, although she and dad had more money each week than my OH picked up to keep 4 of us she was always saying how little they had and how they couldn't afford to do things. |

We have a friend who, for various reasons, has had to claim benefit. |
