This is the new campaign launched by the National Autistic Society. Details can be found on the link below and anyone can support it - especially those who have autism in their families. You are also able to see how your Local Authority is dealing with this issue in your area.

I wish I could support the campaign from here in Oz, Cynthia. However I will pass the link onto family members in the UK as two family members are autistic and although they are high functioning they still have some issues.

I have a nephew with autism. He struggles at school but he has a great deal of help with his schoolwork - it is of course the social side that he often can't get to grips with. His school is very protective of him and a number of other children on the spectrum. They have a very strong anti-bullying policy and it appears to work. He loves school.

The worry of course is what happens when he leaves school.

Sue, that is the big worry for every parent ......what happens when they leave school?


This campaign is to get government action on better support for adults with autism.

Children with autism grow up to be adults with autism so, it's an opportunity to get something into place for them as soon as possible.
