I'm a Hotter girl too - I love the Shake and Lulu ones, plus a couple of Goretex pairs for autumn/winter..

In fact the bottom of my wardrobe has been taken over by Hotter shoes, as I HAVE to add each season's interesting 'one season only' colour to the collection.

I'm wearing Shake in rose pink today...

As you say, REALLY comfy, but a colleague refers to them as my 'granny shoes' :-(

Juat had a big clear out of shoes this morning - grotty ones thrown out, wearable ones to the charity shop. The ones that are left are in the bottoms of wardrobes.
I'm currently replacing my shoes with ones made by Hotter - they are SO comfortable, and are becoming quite stylish. No stillettos for me, though!

Shoes/slippers I wear most live on my feet or by the back door, others are in the bottom of my wardrobe. Wellies are in the garage, green, black & flowery

Good thing I am unlikely to visit Rollo, as I would NEVER wear slippers that had been worn by anyone else.... yuck, reach for the athletes foot spray.

Ooooh Hayley, you are soooooo pernickety! In boxes..................tuttty tut!!!!!

Same as me, lol.

I change the boxes around when I change my wardrobe. All the summer clothes come down from the top cupboard of the wardrobe and are hung on hangers, and the winter clothes go into the top box.

The boots and sturdy shoe boxes are pushed to the back, and the pretty sandals and shoes come to the fore........................

I should get out more!!!!!

:-0 :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0

Like everything else I own, I am ruthless at throwing out anything I haven't worn in a while. At the bottom of my wardrobe, there are three pairs shoes, two pairs sandals, and one pair of boots. But under the stairs is a size 7/8 (i take size 6) pair of Doc Martens which I fell in love with..they are so snazzy!... and never wore. I really MUST give them away some day...so if anyone is size 7/8 and likes leopard spots...they are yours! :-D

Mine shoes are on wooden shelves, with the pair I wear most beside the bed.

However I have more wellies than shoes which are kept in the back porch.
Can't resist a cheap pair if I see them as I wear them more than shoes.

On racks in the bottom of the wardrobe, but with a slight overflow of out of season ones under the bed.

I'm just transferring my really winter shoes under the bed now.

Oh oh!
Rollo, I have a confession to make.
From where I am sitting, I can see my hall table.
Underneath, is a shoe mountain:
1 pair of slippers, 1 pair of trainers, 1 pair full length boots, 1 pair dolly shoes, 1 pair canvas shoes and 1 pair of Doc Martens (with the over the knee socks still inside!)

I've seen the IKEA shoe cupboards - don't like them

Only three pairs ? Goodness. I always thought that shoes had a secret life of their own which involved one shoe of a pair going AWOL and mystery shoes arriving but only one foot of a pair. Or even breeding.

My grandfather thought that having shoes lying around was really naff, even on racks. I used to hate the way he made me clean them, put them away etc.

So now I use a shoe cupboard he was given by his cousin (MD of a shoe factory) a hundred years ago. Neat and tidy with sliding drawers, no use for anything except shoes. It has room for about a hundred pairs + 2 sets of riding boots.

We don't allow people to wear outdoor shoes indoors - we have a slipper box. Some hate this, others don't mind. When in Rome...

Argos have a shoe cupboard with fixed shelves for £ 50 which seems a good buy. IKEA have them too if you are up for a challenge.

Mine used to be on a grotty adapted book shelf in my bedroom.
Then, during a clear out, I emptied out 4 largish baskets and had an idea :-D

Went to IKEA. bought a hanger thing for shoes, and a nice shelf unit, intending to put boots in baskets, baskets on shelving unit.
Then I realised the unit was about a centimetre too narrow for the baskets. I intended widening the shelves by inserting bits of wood, so removed the shelves my boots were on and cut one bit to size (I need 8). Haven't been too well since, so new shelving unit is on the landing floor, and boots etc are in the middle of the bedroom :-|

......I've got 10+ pairs of varying types of boots.....
