3 police have just visited a Gloucester farm where the 86 year old lady farmer makes a massive cheese for the annual cheese rolling event.
They have warned her not to make it.
This has been going on for years.....compensation culture again?

elf and safety strikes again? and she's lived to the ripe old age of 86 - well she must have been doing something right - the world has definitely gone barking mad

and it took three policemen to do this - was she likely to go into attack mode?

It has been cancelled three times in recent years - 1998, 2001, 2003 and 2010.
It was cancelled in 2010 because of the number of spectators in 2009 - 15,000.
Don't know why it's been cancelled this year though

:-(

People are injured - sometimes more spectators than participants, but surely it's the individuals' choice? Just need a huge sign pointing out they enter the arena at their own risk.
