I don't post in here often anymore, but its that time of year again when I really miss my brother, its been almost 25 years to the day since I last saw him and it eats at my heart all the time, but more so in June, August and at Christmas. He was born in 1983 August 24, and for my own reasons and being so much older I had to walk out on him and his family when he was about five, I had to do it, but regret turning my back on someone I loved so much, that was so young.

I've been registered on here for years without any sniff of a hit, is anyone else in the same boat? Does it hit you harder some times of year than others?

I'm sorry that you are feeling so low, Maddie. Have you tried putting an enquiry on Living Relatives - perhaps someone can give you some tips on how to search for your brother.

Hi Kay and Sue, yes its the same old me but just a bit blue rather than the fun person I used to be, and still am - its just a sad day. I have access to the electoral roles and such but he has just disappeared maybe gone to Ireland, I haven't tried the living threads as I have no intention of meeting our mother, that's why I left in the first place.

Sorry you feel so low.
Your brother is a mature man now and able to make independant choices about whether you meet. Maybe like many other he has opted out of being on the full searchable electoral lists ?
Have you searched for a possible marriage for him?

Thank you Tenerife Sun I have access to current electoral roles, but your offer is ever so kind and very much apprectiated, but I think he has either moved to Ireland where his father came from or has chosen not to be visable.

So where are me rocks, Muffy, Theresa and of course the Princess, cos we know the boro girls are busy celebrating tonight. I dunno - I don't turn up for months and sometimes a year or so at a time and me red carpet isn't waiting lol = maybe the princess is de mothballing it :)

The only advice I can offer is to ask if you remember any of your brother's school friends? you say he was about five and I know that's a young age but you could put his name up on Friends Reunited......you never know someone might recognise his name?
