Laughing at Francis Maude on Sunday Politics Show

Yet more alleged corruption in politics, this time it is to do with taking payments from lobbyists to ask questions in Parliament :-|

Francis Maude the Minister for the Cabinet Office, when asked repeatedly on the Sunday Politics Show by Andrew Neil, why the government, despite David Cameron's promises, had done absolutely nothing over the past 3 years to curb the lobbying industry and to introduce powers to allow voters to force out MP's found guilty of serious wrong-doing - Francis Maude while struggling to find an answer, wriggled and squirmed several times, and could only utter several times - that these things need to be thought through correctly :-S

I think hat he was actually saying you cannot honestly expect us to do anything that might affect our wealthy donors ;-)

If you watched this - what do you think?

I still think that MP's found guilty of 'wong doing' should, after paying back what they stole, (corruption money to be donated to a charity other than a public school) be forced to live on jobseekers allowance (just them, not their family), in a suitably sized flat/bedsit (ie bedroom tax exempt) for a year.
Then allow them back into parliament - their views may have changed :-D

After their experience, hopefully they will desist from referring to those on low incomes as 'The Poor', those on benefits (BTW, state pension is now considered a benefit) as 'scroungers', and realise poverty, in many cases has very little to do with intelligence!!

Unfortunately the description many politicians, not all of them, have for anyone that is poor or on a low income is that they are all scroungers who are wasting their lives away just lying on the sofa watching television while swilling beer, smoking fags, and eating fast food :-| and nothing could be further from the truth :-(

An unexpectedly honest politician creates exciting news.
