just watched a documentary on tv about this polish squadron
most kills of any squadron during the battle of britain

then at the end it mentioned the victory parade at the end of the war and every nation that fought on our side took part except for the poles who were not invited as the government did not want to upset stalin.

Meybe Bob,however there could have been another reason for it. My BIL Couldnt go back to Poland because he fought with the British Army during WW2.His family in Poland were victimised because of it as were many others,Perhaps it was meant to prevent other atrosities happening over there.Stalin was Evil and not to be trusted on anything.**M**.

it was mentioned at the end of the programme that many of the plots who returned to poland suffered
my uncle came over during the war and never went back again
when my parents married she sent her wedding dress back to his sister in poland
she also sent her shoes but they had to be sent one at a time or they would have not been received
