Hi Uzzi

I've been away for a couple of days.

I am so very sorry to hear the news of your Mother's death.

You did all you could for her, and way way above any form of "duty" in some ways.

She is now at peace, and you can take care of yourself and OH.

Take time to grieve, and then return, refreshed and ready for your new life.

It seems as though she hung on until she was with you. A saying is "God moves in mysterious ways" I think he understood the way you kept true to your dads wishes and after all the stress you have gone through, decided enough was enough for both of you. Bless you love and give yourself some my time now to help you recover. <3 :-(

Sorry to hear the awful shock it must have been losing your mum Uzzi. You have had such a stressful time and now the upset at losing her and more things to sort and arrange. My mum was difficult all through my life, but it still hits you as you say when they die. Unpacking her stuff will be quite upsetting too I imagine with a turmoil of thoughts.

I would do what YOU feel to be right now Uzzi. I had some of those kinds of decisions to make when my mum died. In my case I decided it would be best for people to know, so they didn't think badly of ME when they did find out! Everyone's situation is different though. Take good care of yourself and get out walking with your dogs when you can to relax a bit.

Only just seen this - my sincere condolences Uzzi - but you did at least have your mom in your house for a few days - as you know I didn't get back to UK to see my mom before the end. At least your mom is at peace now.

Please take care of yourself, your OH and the dogs.

Here if you need me - take care

Love Mary xx

Added to the other thread, Uzzi, as saw that one first.

I am so dreadfully sorry that you couldn't have spent more time with your Mum at the new home but as everyone else has said, you did all you could and more for her to try and bring her peace and contentment, you did your Dad proud in following his wishes and now your Mum is at rest, free from all her troubles and pain.

Will be thinking of you. You have a lot to do as you make all the necessary arrangements and face the task of sorting the boxes again. You will feel full of mixed emotions, let the tears flow when they come, don't try to be strong, just treat yourself kindly. I know you will have the love and support of your hubby and the dogs will feel your sorrow too, walk with them and destress as much as you can.

love and hugs

We haven't spoken before Uzzi, but I've been following your threads about your Mother. Just wanted to say how sorry I am to hear the sad news about her. Will be thinking of you.

I have been following this thread with great interest as my OH is in care with alzheimers type dementia. He is nowhere as bad as your mum was, Uzzi, and you were so brave to have her in your home, even if it wasn't for long. I kept OH at home as long as I could, but I wasn't getting enough sleep, so I had to reluctantly put him into care. It was a case of him or me. I am glad you did not reach the stage of having to decide that. My deepest sympathy anyway. May your future be more relaxed and cheerful. All my love.

To everybody thank you, I don´t think I know my head from my tail at the moment. Tomorrow I will start sorting all the boxes I packed a year ago for her which arrived yesterday.
To say I am numb would be an understatement, I will not lie, I really didn´t think her death would hit me as hard as it has. so double whammy in the gut..I feel so lost.

I have spent a time today informing family and there I have a dilemma do I tell she has the right to know, don´t I tell and respect Mum´s last wishes.

I will be back bouncing and cynical as ever soon, but I need to lick the hurts that even a partner can´t do .......so I will talk to all mmmmm soonish
