Watching " This Happy Breed " on 5 ( whilst I do the ironing )

and having moved to a new house ... They " buttered the cats paws"

I can remember my Mum and Granny doing he same ...

Does anyone still do it ?

( Its based on Noels cowards play ... A story of a family in Clapham from 1919 -1939 )

Wouldn´t work with my Ollie.
He hates milk, cream, butter, cheese etc although he is quite partial to fruit yoghourt

Ha ha yes my mum buttered her cats paws and it did work for her- and the cat. That brought a memory back.

I love the film too and always watch when its on :-D
