""Because Bob if that were the case, the fallout would lead to unprecedented nastiness between opposing factions ...usually by PM where it can't be seen. ""

but dont you think this anonyminity causes upsets? discussions by PM's?aspersions raised and wrong accusations?
In the recent post by AnnC that RR to MY mind was just nit picking...........nothing out of hand said there, at all..........
this site at times makes me think of an old time fishing village where all the wives hangover the garden fences gossiping about who does what ~(or doesnt)

AnnCardiff Report 28 Jun 2013 16:12

yippee - my post has been reinstated so you can all see what I wrote was not nasty at all and GR obviously don't think so either - thank you GR

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 28 Jun 2013 15:50

well said Cynthia - perhaps NanaSue would like to come back and explain what a "holier than thou" thread is

~Lynda~

~Lynda~ Report 28 Jun 2013 15:49

It's only NS having a laugh Potty, she isn't serious, she can't be :-D

Potty Report 28 Jun 2013 15:29

Oh dear, oh dear! Somebody has posted a link to this thread on the Genealogy Chat Board (to show how many posts some members have made). This is another thread that will not show the site in a good light to new members

~Lynda~

~Lynda~ Report 28 Jun 2013 15:26

Well Rose I was wondering, I think NS is a bit of a tinker, she knows that her thread was deleted by GR, but just wanted to come back and say about other threads that she thinks may have "disappeared" so she doesn't feel a bit daft for posting the one she did. She just wanted to brighten our Friday, well done NS you made me laugh.

:-D

Cynthia Report 28 Jun 2013 15:22

It was the words 'holier-than-thou' which caught my eye.

I do hope you don't mean the Christian Thread when you say you can only see one 'holier-than-thou' thread remaining NanaSue :-(

A daily prayer is posted on there for those who wish to look at it......it is certainly not obligatory viewing and, hopefully, doesn't come over as being 'h-t-t-'.

i am not suprised it was reported to be honest
i was also glad to see it go :-D

Rambling Report 28 Jun 2013 15:13

Oh THAT thread lol Lynda, well it is certainly no surprise that that went, there must have been many people who would have been glad to see it go, whether they reported it or not and whether they were paying members or not.

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 28 Jun 2013 15:07

and NanaSue comments that my post must have been "nasty" - putting that thought in peoples' heads - yet she never even saw it, so how on earth someone can come up with assumption is ridiculous - as I said before,. no way was it nasty - I'm not in the habit of making "nasty" postings

~Lynda~

~Lynda~ Report 28 Jun 2013 15:02

So nobody wonders who it was who reported NS's thread last week, it was me, and I used the report facility without feeling guilty too :-)

For the record...Even though I reported the thread I do have friends, am not a moron, and have a life, amazing eh ;-)

Rambling

Rambling Report 28 Jun 2013 14:52

As far as I'm aware no one has been suspended, I know some threads were posted and removed while I was off the boards ( in Wales for 4 days) so I don't know who posted or reported, but it should be remembered perhaps that it is not only the members who post who have the option of reporting those threads ...it could just as easily have been a non paying member ?

~Lynda~

~Lynda~ Report 28 Jun 2013 14:50

Were you looking for the thread you posted last week NS,? If so GR deleted it, surely there is no need to put a thread up about it, you must already know why they did.

If your unsure, as to why they did, email the office, they'll probably be happy to tell you again, just so you don't make that "error" again :-D
