Brilliant only a half pound off of one and a half stone.

Just thinking if I lost the same as you I would be at my target or less. If only.

Well done to you Jules, you are doing so well :-D

I'm just back from weigh in and have lost I.1/2 lb, so I'm very pleased with that :-D

I was told that because of the hot weather, we retain a lot of fluid, so if anyone doesn't lose as much as they thought they would, maybe that's the reason why?

Good luck to all following this thread

Hi Slimmers

I ran slimming Groups for 10 years, and had some really funny experiences.

One lady came regularly to class. She had serious health problems and was on various medication, so her weight loss progress was usually slower than others. Normally, she wore trousers, but one lovely summer's day, she came in a long summery dress.

As, she stood on the scales, she was more wobbly than usual. I asked her if she was o.k. and did my best to support her. When I looked at the scales she had lost the best part of a STONE!!!

I panicked thinking my scales were not working, and didn't know what to say! Then she explained to me that SHE WAS NOT WEARING HER FALSE LEG!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:-D :-D :-D

I lost 2lb at the weigh in yesterday - that's four and a half in three weeks

I used to go to weight watchers, and I had to laugh at the lengths some people would go to. In the loos, some would change into sun dresses in the winter, others would take off jewellery and ring, and one lady used to take off her bra!

When I went to slimming clubs were encouraged to wear the same clothes which we wore we at first weigh in. This way it was a true weight loss or gain each week.

You all seem to be doing great...... I will need to do something drastic quite soon about myself.

When I reached a certain age, unlike others who gained weight, I lost it and went back to being a size 10.
I went to body combat classes twice a week with dau no1, and although I wasn't well toned, I had gained stamina.
My daughter had an eating disorder and was using this exercise to stop herself gaining weight.
As she went into recovery, I gave up the classes.
For the next 2yrs, I stayed a size 10, and all of a sudden my I gained weight!
I hit a size 14 without ever being a 12??

I noticed it this week... the extra weight in the heat is awful! so I am about to start on a healthy eating plan and I am determined to go downwards too.
