Hi Everyone, special hello to Jemima & Glasgow Lass, good to see new people join in, the more merrier :-D

Loved your story about the false leg Jemima, bet that was a jaw dropping moment :-D

Well done Ann on losing another 2 lb, your going in the right direction :-D

Glasgow lass, it's amazing how quickly the lbs pile on, wish they came off as quickly. I think your head needs to be in the right place to diet, no good starting half heartedly is there, hopefully by adding to this thread it'll give you the oomph to eat healthily, and the lbs will come off, good luck :-D

I've had a fabulous few days away, had a day in a spa, had lots of steams, and spent a good while in the lovely spa pool, also had a long doze on the water beds, can't believe how relaxing they are. I had a facial and a lovely massage, all in all a great day.

Had I off just done that I would of probably lost a few pounds, BUT we went to a couple of lovely restaurants, I was careful what I chose, but it wasn't like eating at home, is it :-) Spent today in Cambridge, what a beautiful place that is, and we wanted to sightsee, we had picky food, again nothing dreadful, but I have eaten too much bread, oh and a cream tea, well you have to when it's offered don't you ;-)

Anyway, back to normal now, so will make an extra effort to make sure I at least stay the same :-D

Have put on a lot of weight over the last couple of years.
Son had been here quite a lot - he loves chocolate, si I kept buying it. Then I hepled him to eat it!
Stopped buying choc. a few weeks ago, lost about six pounds. Still a long way to go.

Will now try to weigh myself every Saturday morning so that I will have a real record.
Not going on a special diet but will cut down, especially on sugar and fat.

Trying to get more mobile too, still have very low energy levels. At the moment I'm half-way thriugha one morning a week falls prevention workshop. When it is finished will go back to my exercise group (Extend/tai Chi).

Also trying to get fit enough to take up gardening, but rather too hot at the moment.

Will weigh myself tomorrow, make a note and then come back in a week to let you know how I get on.

Tess

P.S. Well done evryone on the weight you have already lost. Keep it up (or down!).

I was on a slomming thread some time ago, had trouble with computer so stopped posting to the thread. Since then have put on weight. :-( :-(

Am now starting again. This thread will help to keep me going (I hope).

I think it's a lot easier losing weight with others Tess, bit of encouragement when you're not doing so good, and praise when you are, is sometimes all you need to carry on :-D

well foodwise today has been a bit of a mish mash - it's been so hot and humid - made me right out of sorts - haven't sinned really but as I said, eaten an odd assortment :-D

Best time of the year to diet though as for me it the best fruit and veg on the go at the moment - bought some lovely British runner beans today - my favourite veg of all and I am going to have a bumper crop in the garden shortly

I love those flat donut peaches - scrummy, and today I discovered flat donut nectarines and they are just as lovely - in fact I've eaten about six of them - they are rather small mind!!

I have all the ingredients now for a fish pie using light Primula cheese in tubes and it's free on Extra East Slimming World - shall be making it tomorrow - I do love fish

Noticed in Asda frozen section they do bags of a variety of fish chunks for fish pies - nice one Asda :-D

Do you do the slimming world chips Ann, where you boil or steam the chipped potato, then spray with fry light and put in the oven until golden, they are as lovely as fried chips, and because they are free on slimming world, you can eat as many as you want, I also make mash potatoes, creamier by adding a raw egg when you are mashing them, they are lovely too :-D

Veg is my favourite too, especially home made vegetable soup, I've always got a large supply in the freezer :-D

never been a chip fan Lynda - love home made soup and bought a big bag of cheap tomatoes at the fruit and veg shop in our village this morning - so they'll be soup tomorrow

Well done to everyone and hallo to the new joiners.

Well its been a bit up and down, but still down. I have 2lbs to go before I get the magic stone loss. I have not been this weight for at least three years

I think the hot weather has helped in not wanting to eat so much.
