We have the routine hearing aid listen every afternoon at about four thirty, before tea.

Fred takes them out then, so we can enjoy have the television really loud when he puts it on, and can't hear whether they are buzzing or not so somebody has to listen for him.

The bit I really enjoy, yuk yuk, is cleaning them. Naturally, nobody has shown me how to and I won't take them apart because I don't know which bits can be taken off, so I have to dig the wax out as best I can, mm my favourite!

OH wears hearing aids . They were expensive as had to buy privately cos his ears didn't like the NHS ones ,the material used in them gave him sore ears.

He will often say to me I can't find one of my earphones! . He undresses at the side of the bed and won't take em out first so one will flying off sometimes when he takes clothes over his head.

Tuesday morning we had the same again . Have lost one of my earphones, I looked everywhere in the bedroom even pulled the bed out to see if had gone done the back of it when he was putting em on the shelf above the bed . Nope but did see the floor needed a good Hoover behind the bed !,,

Retraced his steps up the garden the evening before when he was putting the bins out . Nothing.

Started to look out the home insurance as we have them on there as an item.

Did one last look around and then thought about the dirty clothes basket had a rummage and saw he had put his jumper in there. Took it out and had a feel all around it and in one sleeve there it was hooked up inside. You wouldn't have seen it so it would have gone in the wash. A £1500 disaster.

Gave him a right telling off . Don't suppose it will work though

Lol You sound as bad as my o.h., the hours we spend looking for his specs - he has two pairs one for reading the other for distance so he is constantly swapping them over and putting one pair down, have found them on the compost bin, in the shed, the garage, the banisters (dangling precariously) and all sorts of daft places. I keep threatening to get him a Larry Grayson cord necklace for them.

glad you finally found your specs. If I lay mine down while dressing or washing, I have to feel around for them as I am so short sighted

this morning.

:-(

Couldn't find them anywhere!

Not in the bedroom, where I usually put them on the dresser, not in the study next to the computer, not in the kitchen.......... I wandered around the house for about 45 minutes (it didn't help that I couldn't see, without my specs!).

Found them. In the spare room. On the ironing board!

Then I remembered............ I had three glasses of beer last night...... and got undressed in the spare room (where the laundry basket is).

I have other specs for reading, but I can't walk around wearing them, I'd bump into walls.

:-D
