265 just to sleep in the bed!!!!!!!!! Geez, I'd want to take the bed home for that!

Brenda ~ if next year's reunion is in Brisbane, wander south for a couple of hours, come and have lunch with us :-D

How much? Flipping heck, as you say Brenda, how the other half live!
I am looking for reasonable accommodation for our few days away in August, don't want to pay that much for the whole stay!

So glad you had a great time and that your Star Guest enjoyed himself so much.

I have to do a school reunion soon, it's 50 years since many of us left school and some have met up at previous reunions I have done but hopefully some new/old faces will be there too.

That sounds like a good time Brenda.
Must be something in the air, as my OH had a reunion with his Uni class last week.
34 years since they all graduated!

From a wonderful couple of days... seeing ex colleagues I haven't seen in over 20 years...some even longer than than 30 years.

It was rather special as the world wide director now lives North Of Brisbane where he set up a branch of the Company many years ago.
He was celebrating 50 years with the co,and this meeting was a big surprise, his wife knew about, but he thought he had a meeting with The MD in UK.
it was only for us dedicated oldies who made the co what it was and we had been at special conventions all over the world with him.

Myself and a couple of others worked towards making it memorable and I made sure they had a piano so we could sing a little apt ditty to herald him in.
It happened to be a lovely Yamaha Grand and when we had a tip off that he was coming we struck up.He was emotional...

I travelled from N Wales and another ex came from York and we met up in Sussex.
Some came from Scotland to Gatwick and travelled back the same evening.

Even though appearances had changed we all managed to recognise one another.

In fact we would now like an annual event....of course we are all ...rather mature....and some couldn't come cos of illness, but Im glad I didn't miss it!

The chap in question was also celebrating his 77th birthday the same day which we didnt know so it was specially an occasion to remember.
