Cupcakes, this isn't about being "helpful on the boards" just members giving support to a distressed........at the time..... fellow member.

Completely uncalled for.

And a shame that not all the lyrics were posted so that we could see actually what was being alluded to!

For those who are interested it is called Sylvia's Song and is by Calla and is on the album Strength In Numbers

How apt pmsl

Sylvia, have a giggle on me teeheeeeeeeee

Jealousy is so ugly and I believe that is root of the bullying Sylvia is being subjected to by Cupcake formally known as NanaSue.

Sally

Sally Report 22 Jul 2013 13:45

Sylvia sounds the much nicer person

Sylvia is Sylvia is Sylvia.

Sylvia IS being true to herself.

I'm not sure she is going to take too kindly to being told that she sometimes 'throws a wobbler'.

Sylvia and I have been friends for a very long time but, if I were to suddenly put a comment saying " <3 you loads", she would think I was off my proverbial trolley... :-S

Your copy and paste skills are coming on a treat CupCakes. Well done you!

And what a useful way to employ them!

C & P is not my forte - Just shows how some folks don't read the posts properly and put their own spin on things.

There is one C & P master on the boards with Sylvia coming up a close second.

;-)

Cynthia good afternoon dear friend. I think if I said that to Sylvia I would get a slap across the (lamb) chops lolol

Rambling Rose

Yes Sylvia and 'others' are good at C & P , as am I, it really does help to be good at it when one is helping on the research boards............ but you do have my admiration for having such a wonderful memory for lyrics with no need of C & P CupCakes.

I had to google this, my memory past the first couple of lines let me down ( the original was spelled Silvia...but is often 'Sylvia') I think this is far more fitting than the other 'ditty'.

Who Is Silvia?

Who is Silvia? what is she,
That all our swains commend her?
Holy, fair, and wise is she;
The heaven such grace did lend her,
That she might admirèd be.

Is she kind as she is fair?
For beauty lives with kindness.
Love doth to her eyes repair,
To help him of his blindness,
And, being helped, inhabits there.

Then to Silvia let us sing,
That Silvia is excelling;
She excels each mortal thing
Upon the dull earth dwelling:
To her let us garlands bring.

William Shakespeare

CupCakes - so sorry that I assumed you had copied and pasted.

You mean you actually typed that verse out word by word? Well, how kind of you to go to so much trouble for Sylvia! But then, some people are just worth going that extra mile for, aren't they?

I simply wouldn't have the time for that sort of thing, far too much going on in my life. It's copy/paste all the way for me!

Nice choice Rose, although I'd struggle to bring garlands to Sylvia from my dried up excuse for a garden this week.

Some people are so full of bitterness, it's quite worrying sometimes.

The genuine support that you have received Sylvs, says more about you, than a certain other person on the thread.....CupCakes

And yes Errol, I do think that if you profess your undying love to Sylvs, you would get a slap around your little cheeky lamb chops!

Not sure what you mean about 'inventing' scenarios

Thanks though, it's one more thing that I'm good at. I'll add it, to my very long list

You're quite safe Errol. Both Sylvia and I have been happily married to our men for over 45 years.......mind you, both of us have been know to fall........

not for other men

Sylvia from a bus

and me

over my doorstep :-D :-D :-D

I still don't understand the problem with c & p.........I'm a whizz at it as are others.

It comes in so useful at times......ie...

“Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.”

A favourite quote of mine Cynthia.

Is the vicar still chuckling over your fall?
