If I am careful we might be able to have a day out tomorrow.

OH and I are considering going to Wales.
We generally go to that cheap shop in Caerphilly, which I know doesn't make it very cheap but it is a day away from here.

Anybody about?

I'm going to London for the day to meet up with my oldest friend - must be mad, the heat will be worse in London! And, no, I'm not going to join the crowds outside Buckingham Palace!

Sorry Sharron - I'm meeting up with friends for lunch at Highdown Gardens tomorrow and that's my limit for travelling in this hot weather. Mind you, the forecast isn't looking good - thunderstorms and rain, so lunch could well be a wet one!.

I'm sure there are a few members in Wales who would be delighted to meet you if they're around ;-)

It's expensive to get into Wales these days Sharron.
They want £6.20 on the toll bridge..... but it's free to leave Wales.

We went 2 weeks ago to meet friends in Swansea and I loved being back there.
...must go again soon and stay longer.

We went down the side of the Severn from Monmouth ( I think) last time.

That way we get to see a bit of different countryside and get in for nothing.

No footpaths on the new bridge,but he could travel across the old one free...or you could tow him across the new one... No extra charge for towing.

He'd need more than a margarine sandwich to power it that far though. He might need to find a sausage sandwich refuelling cafe.
