Lincolnshire we had a terrific storm heavy rain3.45 am thunder rolling round all morning and more heavy rain sunny this afternoon

We had a corker of a storm last night too Gwyn, we were up having a cup of tea at 4.30, as it was so loud, made it a little cooler, but it's still been humid today, had a spit of rain earlier, now it's just muggy again.

Last night was really wild for us.
Torrential rain was followed by sheet lighting and forked lightning resulting in a power failure for about 2 hours 2 a.m until 4 a.m.
A house up the hill was struck and in the other direction firefighters had to pump out a flooded house.

A hot, humid day followed, but no more rain.....yet.

Another thunderstorm late this afternoon very heavy rain but not much cooler :-( :-(

Has thunder/lightening around 6-30am lasted roughly 30 minutes and that was it.
Must admit the rain lashed down but is no cooler than last night..
Please can Yorkshire have some more thunder storms.

Not bothered about slugs/snails as the birds swoop straight down for them...

The sun is emerging again and those horrid slugs and snails that came out are getting all dried up!

Thunder started here in S Yorks at 5.30 this morning and only lasted half an hour.

Only a light rainfall,just enough to encourage the slugs and snails.

Yup here too.

Was at work this morning during the storm, but I still wanted a Thunder Buddy.

London, Heavy downpour just now - claims that we will not see the new baby until it clears up - Kate won't want photos of her with wet hair beamed around the world...... :-|

Thunderbolt and lightning?

Very, very frightening me!

Had the mother and father of storms here, 8.30 am. Took 5 towels to dry dogs (well half dry - they are still damp). OH had to wring his clothes out. Satellite and freeview TV both off for a couple of hours. Temp in car 16c - it was 31c last week.

Just heard some more thunder here in Northamptonshire but still very humid

Just chucked it down in West London, a little thunder.
Hope it stays dry at the Palace, they are changing the guard :-)

well I had trouble sleeping - my lovely cat had not come in so I was napping when I noticed small flashes of lightning - very humid, so got up around 4:00 am - about an hour later it started to spit with rain and then got heavier and in came pussums!!! quite heavy rain in short bursts - did freshen up the garden a tad, but nowhere near enough really

Yes same 3.30, then again on and off since 6. Now the sun is out and getting hot again.
