This made me smile ....

A Florida university footballer arrested for allegedly barking at a police dog and resisting arrest says

"The dog barked at him first," police say.

What a surprise the silly dog would do that!

Is it against the law to bark at a police dog in Florida then?

Surprisingly, Ken, it could well be!

I know they do count their dogs as being part of the police force in many places in the USA. Dogs that die in the line of duty get the works when they are buried.

I see from the BBC News page that it is indeed a crime, to harass a police dog that is performing its duty.
