Don't worry Sharron, no seal pups were hurt in the making of that advert.

These were hotels .... with a "carvery " option ....

the maître d’hôtel, wheeled over a large trolley .. with a silver cover over the top

There was always 3 joints ... Beef, pork and lamb .... and served you

I always asked for the crispy bits .....

We always went to Carverys for a celebratory meal when married (as he was fussy :-D )

Never been to one that done Lamb...Toby didn't, nor Country Carvery who I also worked for...they must have been independant Carverys then? or before 1980

I see they now do pork would have liked that for a change

Lamb would have been nice too...sorry eRRol :-D

When, many moons ago, I was responsible for audits in Scotland ..

Flying up on a Sunday night and back on a Thursday evening ...

I would only stay in hotels that had a carvery ..... ... Ate roast Leg of Lamb for dinner, for almost two years whilst there ..

still my favourite .... :-D

What a shame that bloke gets in the way so you don't see the kill. ;-)

Had to google that Renes, as they never had a king size carvery when I worked for them....ummm looks cheaper now than it was 10 years ago.

Having a roast almost every day for two years...soon puts you off of ever going to a carvery again :-D
