You may well remember the band leader Billy Cotton but what may never have occurred to you is the fact that Mick Jagger is the same age as Billy Cotton was when he died.

You cannot even consider comparing the two of them, surely!

I'm intrigued, Sharon - whatever made you think of Billy Cotton?

He looked older than Mick. Mind you, I think people back then looked old at 40!!

When I was little, I thought your hair 'naturally' turned curly as you got older. Now I know it's a lie!!!! :-|

gawd........ I remember my parents liking Billy Cotton.

I remember the name, but none of the music.

Must go to Googleland or YouTube & have a look.

By 'your' I meant 'one's' or 'ladies'.

Still intrigued about what put Billy Cotton into your mind :-D

I think I was thinking about just how old the Stones are and was searching about in my head for somebody who used to be the same age.

Hitler, of course, was much younger when he died so he was no use.

Can you think of somebody to compare to Mick Jagger?

Arthur Askey? I couldn't stand him and if I had found that busy bee I know where I would have put it. He was still prancing around in his seventies.
