Why didn't the store get an assistant to pack the bags?

Sorry - just seems like common sense

Hi Lyndi and Suzanne I can understand their policy but when a mother of a 16 yr old is buying and paying I can't see the reasoning of their attitude ...beats me!

A Mum buying booze at Morrisons in Leamington Spa asked her daughter to help her pack her bags as her arm was in a plaster cast...Checkout assistant asked how old daughter was ....told she was16 ... she would not let them buy the booze nor would the Manager, against company policy, where has their common sense gone to? Fair enough if the girl had been alone but it was obvious Mother was paying on her card This is becoming a Namby Pamby State me thinks:-S
