Rambling Report 1 Sep 2013 17:14

I read the OP a couple of days ago, I'm sure I did but can't see how it was worthy of reporting?

it was an oldish story yes, because I remember commenting on it at the time...but not offensive I don't think? if being an old story, joke, or topic was reason for removal most of the board would be empty...the longer one is here the more one realises that most things have been said before...albeit not always by the same people lol, (though probably too often by me :-) ) .

Rose, nothing wrong with the OP, the reporter was happy to post on it for two days.

"enough of this slagging off the Welsh or I'll report this thread Errol"

That was on the first page - now who could possibly have been the author? Could it be the lady who is now my biggest critic for reporting the thread :-S

I wondered why he had put it up. Thought it was innocent fun possibly, but probably not. But I got no response from OP so felt I had no alternative but to have it reviewed by Genes

I must admit I thought it was so funny when the lovely AnnCardiff from Wales made her so obviously tongue in cheek comment on the first page of this thread and then was worried that I might delete it lolol

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 1 Sep 2013 17:54

and tongue in cheek it certainly was and if Puddled of Ystrad Mynach can't see that he needs an urgent appointment at Specsavers

and I am not taunting you John - you are not Welsh, end of

John, nice card you played there, I don't believe you reported the opening post, what a pathetic, malicious, ludicrous thing to do, if it was'nt so sad it would be laughable. Maybe your action is connected to your following of football and the football has taken away the little bit of sense I thought you had, so what card do you play next - the sympathy card?

..the heading "Only in Wales" IS entirely accurate though isn't it?

JustJohn Report 1 Sep 2013 18:09

Hope I never have to show my papers to you, AnnC. I would be stateless :-D

Jude. Thanks for writing to Genes. Expect it will help the review. I was upset, sought clarification, got none, so reported. I may be totally wrong.

OFITG. I was simply admitting I had reported. I have not said why I reported. I did suspect there was an ulterior motive in starting the thread - they are not all funny and totally innocent, you know. I have reported in good faith and have been honest about my feelings. I am hopeless at cards anyway :-(

Perhaps he reason I am still here is that I am nice and honest with everyone - even those who regularly feel brave and have a pot at me. I do say wrong things, I do make mistakes, I do apologise if I get something wrong. But I have no malice towards anyone - and that is the Gospel truth.

I know, for a bit of fun let's have a little competition.

Who said "nnn Mustn't let this rivetting thread slip"?

I'll give you a clue. They also said...

"There is an obvious solution if you don't want this excellent thread nudging forwards."

I'm beginning to wonder what kind of plants they are growing in Wales these days ;-)

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 1 Sep 2013 18:18

and presumably it was you who reported me for calling you stupid!!! and do I care? not a lot

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 1 Sep 2013 18:21

remember when you came on our "Do you live in Wales" thread - you called it a banale thread and our lovely late lamented Sandie reported you and you were politely asked to leave by Shaun

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 1 Sep 2013 18:24

Rambling Rose - "Only" in Wales is because only in Wales do we have bilingual signs - I don't think they have them in any other part of the UK - might be wrong there

TBH I find the bilingual signs a waste of money

JustJohn

JustJohn Report 1 Sep 2013 18:24

No, AnnC. I have reported only one post this weekend and that was Errol's opening post to his "Wales" thread. Had not even seen that any other posts had been reported - neither do I care much.

I have to say you have been quite nasty on a board of nice people who share similar hobbies of family history and local history. You quite shock me at times, but perhaps that is your intention :-S Aggro seems to draw a crowd :-)
