cor - what an episode!! I'm worn out - brilliant acting and lovely Marlon came up trumps - poor Dom left out in the cold with Alicia and Priya looking a bit crestfallen to say the least

the police in Emmerdale are not even worthy of Trumpton - utter rubbish - were I in the police force at present I would be putting in a strong complaint to ITV

I rang my sister tonight to pass on a message I was told " ring me back in 10 mins Im just watching emmerdale" ...line went dead..... I said to Itsmytelly put this emmerdale on I sick of reading it on FB.....so we did ..........and PMSL...Ive have never seen such a load of unrealistic twaddle in all my life wayyyyyyyyyyyyy over the top .........now are soaps s'pose to reflect real life are they not ? :-D :-D :-D

Hayley all soaps are larger than life. However, if you only caught the last ten minutes you wouldn't have watched the build up so it would have seemed rubbishy but it was quite intense acting and to watch, very well acted by the main ones involved I thought.

Ann I agree the police were not portrayed well. They should have been negotiating with him and not just standing around waiting, didn't think that side of the story was very well written.

I gave up on all the soaps long ago Ann, in my opinion there are on far too often, I used to enjoy the "whodunit" story lines when they were on a couple of nights aweek but too many soaps taking up far too much air time but what is the alternitive now adays ....reality TV....... OMG Xfactor same factor as the past 10 years, week after week of " this is all I ever wanted to do" sob sob sob ...... the only way is Essex *cringe* and the latest one the way is ICELAND kill me now ....I cant wait for that one " Im just stocking the freezer with fish fingers now" rivetting stuff :-(

Lol Hayley. I think I watch the soaps as a form of relaxation, I can watch them, read the paper, do all sorts at the same time but still follow the storyline. And I agree, there is very little on worth watching at the moment. I do like Countryfile on Sundays and Antiques roadshow, and Downton, although even that seems to have deteriorated. I am hoping that Broadchurch will be back soon and as good as the last one.

Budgie Rustler Report 18 Oct 2013 14:23

With all the explosions, gunfire, thunder and lightning, thrashing down of the rain and the rushing of water into the cellar plus the screaming and and shouting.
Ending with the inevitable power failure of the lighting...

I`m just wondering, did anyone happen get to see the tote numbers on the dartboard? I aint checked mine yet. :-(

Ooh and all the bottles breaking! What a waste.

It was a bit puzzling how Marlon managed to avoid being washed into the water, and when he eventually was he came round instantly. :-D

That was sad but beautifully done as a tribute to the actor Richard Thorpe who played Alan.
