Going off the subject slightly, when my Brother had dietary problems ( he couldn't eat anything with pips) amongst other things, Dad made some Marrow and Ginger jam which I thought was revolting, but it was delicious. So do you think that would do in sausage sandwiches? :-D

Sharron Report 14 Sep 2013 14:58

If he can find greengages he can have greengage jam.

They have been out a long time this afternoon so I am trying not to think about what might be coming back with them.

Just remember that a spoonful of Jam instead of Sugar helps
the medicine go down better. Especially Greengage Jam. I love it.

:-D

Sharron Report 14 Sep 2013 11:11

So, Fred is sitting here in his colourful shirt and shorts with his bag of jam jars and brown sauce and Lynda has not turned up to get him.

I hope she turns up soon and has a large pantechnicon as she has several boxes of incontinence pads, catheters, kylies, pills, denture cleaner, and all his other baggage to take. I have not been upstairs to unbolt the hoist yet but she had better take it anyway, as well as the hospital bed and the air mattress.

Think she might be a bit disappointed if she thinks she is going to get him limbo dancing!

One of our carers took a jar of the cherry plum jam and had it with roast pork. Her partner later had some in a ham sandwich so I suppose it would be possible to have it in a sausage sandwich.

Not Fred though. He would think that was foreign muck!

He also will not countenance gravy on his meal. His mother always said that she had to serve him a horses dinner.

We have shark sausage on my Caribbean Island Sharron, our local Waitrose sells them there, Fred'll love them, we take the bones out of course, no brown sauce though, so pack him a bottle in his case, when the bottles empty, Fred can send you a message in it :-D

GinN Report 13 Sep 2013 21:37

Maybe he would like jam in his sausage sandwiches? Best of both worlds! :-D ;-)

Sharron

Sharron Report 13 Sep 2013 21:33

I don't know what he has on them. I am not included in this part of his life.

He travels to his special place where I am not welcome to partake of his sausage sandwich.

Think Freemasons.
