My sister and I were Christened in different places although mum and dad lived in the same place for both our births.

Mum was C of E and after marriage and living in another area, she still went back to her previous church which was the Parish church of St Matthew's, where mum and dad were married. I was Christened there.

Mum now didn't have time to walk the 4 miles round trip to go to church and look after me, so the local church became her church. This meant my sister was Christened round the corner from our house at St Andrew's.

I know both of these records are in the local archives.

Check the possible local churches/chapels etc according to parents religion and find out if copies are kept in an archive then you may only have to go to 1 place.
