I am having real problems with GR at the moment. Is very slow and times out so often I am being put off using it. I use Google but flip between there and Bing otherwise I never get to the site.

gawd, not another "new" tree.

I hope it's better than the one we have now, I really don't like it.

will something be done about the SAVE button? I have to reduce to about 60% (after I've added details) to find the SAVE button. Annoying. :-(

GeeJayDubya, the problem was a particular slowness that occurred about a week ago. It was particularly bad for the more prolific posters i.e. those with over 10,000 posts to their credit.

Certainly the site is slower to access than it used to be and the fact that you have to wait for the advert to display is especially galling. However I don't find it worse than other large sites.

I use Firefox and don't have the problems you all seem to be facing. With Virgin broadband I always have a banner ad at the top of the page, but have never had drop-down ad.

If the problem was with the GR server, wouldn't I have the same problems?

Change you ISP and browser.

David - you may be referring to what are known as "vibrant ads". They are a pain but they can be turned off easily if you want. I can post a way to do it later when I get back in.

Same thing here. Really slow overall and it seems you have to wait for that flaming drop down ad at the top right of the screen every time before you can do anything else. It's a waste of time on here, and it's a waste of my money. Why are we paying for a product we can hardly use?

It is taking ages to flip from board to board...........and then when you do finally get to post, it duplicates your post at least twice.

Just take at a look at all the duplicate posts on the FA board over the last two days.

I think I have bing or hp server.

I can get on GR easily but I get every ones advertisements,to my annoyance.

I no sooner close them and they come straight back.

Sometimes there is a black box area before the advertisement appears

What do you recommend?
