	David - you may be referring to what are known as "vibrant ads". They are a pain but they can be turned off easily if you want. I can post a way to do it later when I get back in.

	Come on Genes the system is very slow at the moment, and the error message is always around (For some of us, not all) :-)

With Virgin broadband I always have a banner ad at the top of the page, but have never had drop-down ad. If the problem was with the GR server, wouldn't I have the same problems? Change you ISP and browser.

	GeeJayDubya, the problem was a particular slowness that occurred about a week ago. It was particularly bad for the more prolific posters i.e. those with over 10,000 posts to their credit. Certainly the site is slower to access than it used to be and the fact that you have to wait for the advert to display is especially galling. However I don't find it worse than other large sites.

Member Since: June 2005 Posts: 8,791 Send Message	gawd, not another "new" tree. I hope it's better than the one we have now, I really don't like it. will something be done about the SAVE button? I have to reduce to about 60% (after I've added details) to find the SAVE button. Annoying. :-(
