Will there be divided loyalties in your house during the matches, Jem? :-D :-D

JemimaFawr Report 6 Feb 2014 22:44

Not really Allan :-D :-D

OH never followed Rugby when he was growing up in Ireland. Given the choice- He will support WALES!

Some years ago OH made a Banner of home-made Irish flags to wind me and Grandson 1 up during a Wales v Ireland match!

Half way through the match I realised that he was SHOUTING FOR WALES
:-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

It will be a very passionate affair and I think they are the two best teams. Ireland are my second favourite nation and I will be both tearful and elated if we beat them in Dublin.

I honestly feel that the Irish and the Welsh have always been close bedfellows, and our favourite Welshman (Max Boyce) has Irish roots, though I noticed in a recent programme that both grandfathers were Welsh born (and one in Rhondda :-D :-D). And the Henesseys are a great Welsh folk group, and Frank was born 1947 in the Cardiff Irish community and will be split down the middle.

I will be hoping Irish do very well, but that Wales do that little bit better. And hopefully a lot better than last week. C'mon Sam - and remember to sing (or look as if you are singing) this time.

My Sentiments exactly John!

Like you, I think we are in for quite a battle. That will make it all the more enjoyable- AS LONG AS WE WIN OF COURSE! ;-) :-D :-D

I did not know that Max Boyce had Irish roots, that would explain a lot! :-D :-D

Dear Jemima

Hello

All set for tomorrow's sporting action!

Instead of myself complaining about the football, it will be my family complaining about the Winter Olympics and most of the rugby.

Wall to wall sport!!

Take gentle care
Very best wishes
Elizabeth,
xx

WALES under 20s v IRELAND under 20s Live on Radio Jem :-D :-D

They're off!

Penalty for Wales. Kicking for Goal is ETHAN DAVIES! Looked on target, but sadly the Irish wind took it! :-(

Scrum put in to Ireland

JemimaFawr

JemimaFawr Report 7 Feb 2014 19:46

Ireland keeping possession well, and gaining ground.

Ireland kicked it forward, but Wales reached it and kicked it clear.

Penalty to Ireland. Wales pulled down Irish Player in Line out

Irish throw in

JemimaFawr

JemimaFawr Report 7 Feb 2014 19:49

Penalty advantage Ireland.

Penalty- Is he going for the posts? Yes- but no score. AGAIN THE WIND TOOK IT AWAY FROM GOAL!

WILL THIS GO AGAINST US TOMORROW I WONDER?

JemimaFawr

JemimaFawr Report 7 Feb 2014 19:52

WALES have a penalty. They are going for the three points. Will Ethan do it?

Same again! The ball was going straight through the middle, when a gust of wind took it away! It must be very frustrating for the young boys! :-(

JemimaFawr

JemimaFawr Report 7 Feb 2014 19:56

Penalty to Ireland, for taking out the supporting player! Naughty boy Number 4 Wales. Line-out.

The commentators have said they will announce the score! Haven't heard anything as yet!

JemimaFawr

JemimaFawr Report 7 Feb 2014 20:02

Scrum! Driving Rain- Strong winds- not good playing conditions!

Very good scrum by Wales.

Penalty Wales- INGENIOUS TRY BY ETHAN DAVIES. HE KICKED IT WELL WIDE, LIKE A BOOMERANG, SO THAT THE WIND TOOK IT BETWEEN THE POSTS

3-0 to WALES :-) :-) <3

WELL DONE ETHAN! :-) :-)

JemimaFawr

JemimaFawr Report 7 Feb 2014 20:05

Wales penalty- no 8 Ireland holding down.

Much further out- Another boomerang?

Tried it again- almost but not quite! Brilliant Effort Ethan!

STILL 3-0 to Wales :-)
