Id be grateful if somebody could help. I Cannot find out what happened in future census to Catharine & Francis Mcguire?

Both were widdows & they married in 1857 in Scarborough, East Yorkshire.
They are present in the 1861 census with children: John Rowley........Mary and James.
Mary and James are given the surname Rowley but the mother Catharine is lying about this.

Anyway, then the parents seem to vanish from future census'...

I cannot find death certificates....the children are found in 1871 census but one is on a ship and the other a servant. ....no parents.

Catharine is Irish (county mayo).
Im certain Francis is American too.

John age 14 was born into her marriage with John Rowley.
He was baptized in Scarborough, but his place of birth is not confirmed.
Catherine's age on this return may also a bit out. ( her elder sons were up to 10yrs older than 4th son, John on this return)
Two younger children were born to Catherine after her husband's death, and before her 1857 marriage to Francis McGuire
