IT'S GETTING SO HARD TO STAY FOCUSED ON GETTING BETTER,
TODAY I HAD TO SEE THE NURSES,I HAVE SUCH A BAD INFECTION
IN MY LEGS DUE TO WATER RETENTION I AM ON FOURTH COURSE OF
ANTIBIOTICS,THE STEROID CREAM DAMAGED MY SKIN ON MY LEGS
SO NOW I HAVE SO MUCH DRESSING ON MY LEGS ITS PAINFUL TO
MOVE THEM ,PATCHES OF IODINE MESH WITH DRESSING ON TOP,,BOY
IS IT SORE AND NOT TO REMOVE FOR FIVE DAYS,WHEN I'M BACK WITH
THE NURSE,,,,THIS LOOKS LIKE A LONG TERM PROBLEM,,HAS ANYONE
ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM,,,,,

Hi our Diz
Penny had the same problem (different reason as you know)
Try elevating your legs as often as possible .. if it gets too bad to manage get on the phone to your Dr and insist he / she comes out to you

HI KIM,
I HAVE TO SIT WITH LEGS ELEVATED ALL THE TIME,
I'M AT THE GP'S EVERY WEEK,ITS GETTING SO
PAINFUL ,BEEN GOING ON FOR A YEAR NOW,,AND
I'M GETTING TO BE A RIGHT MOANER,WHICH I DO'NT LIKE.

Is it the case that it won't heal Gwen? My elderly neighbour had problems with leg ulcers, even had to have a skin graft at one point, and if she knocked the place where the skin was damaged, she was in such pain and it put her back to square one. I know the nurses had to come and dress it all the time, and they used Manuka honey on it in the end.


I can imagine how frustrated you are, hope things get better soon
