Ed who is getting quite good in PMQ's. But does he have to have Ed who the second sitting beside him gawping, grinning and pointing. Could he not sit Ed who II at the back of the class and have the delightful Angela Eagles and Harriet who sitting either side of him.

But outside London and in the countryside, some of the politicos look good. Prince Carlo, DC, even Owen who. Clearly at home talking to people. But Wilfred Pickles, Lord Smith and Ed who are really out of their depth.

And Ed M still didnt get an answer from DC to........

I read an article yesterday quoting a local who said the only thing Pickles was good for was to use as a sandbag. Tickled me, that did.

I'm not his biggest fan but he made mincemeat of Cameron at PMQs today. Not difficult to be fair.

Did I miss something? Has Ed Milipeed put his foot in it again? I can never understand how anyone can take him seriously.

I think that he will most probably suffer the same fate as those other 2 would be Labour Party prime ministers, Michael Foot and Neil Kinnock, neither achieving their ambition. Foot's lasting memory, looking like a down and out in a duffel jacket. Kinnock's, falling over on a pebble beach. Milipeed will be remembered for doing a passable Mr Bean impression in deeds as well as looks.

If you don't like this government, he will be the next PM.

Miliband always looks like he is wondering who will change his next nappy for him! Does anyone actually take him seriously?

I'm not against MPs visiting these areas, just don't have your entourage with you.
Go because you really do care about the people, get back to work and actually do something about it now and in the long term.

The trouble with our political leaders is they just cannot resist an opportunity to posture and get their photo plastered all over the media, does not matter whether people want them there or not.

It's called egoism, they have their personal ambition as their main concern, and it does not matter if this is at the expense of others - something all politicians are blessed with ;-)

On another note: I loved the expression on the Chancellor George Osborne's face this morning, when the Prime Minister at a press conference, reiterated that, money is no object to the flood relief effort and that whatever money is needed, we will spend it.

I thought the Chancellor was going to choke :-D

He did do something, he pulled people away from what they were needed to do.

Aren't they calling them something like 'Sludgers'. Visitors who come to gawp.

Yeah, well. He can't actually 'do' anything like pull in more resources - he's just trying to be seen.

Don't know about other people, but sometimes I wonder if visits by 'authority' figures end up diverting personnel on the ground who could be doing something more constructive.

One of the Flood Wardens in Wraysbury says he didn't want him, the West Reading MP told him he wasn't wanted in Purley on Thames and the Windsor Mayoress apparantly told him to 'get out' of a meeting.

I hope he was careful where he emptied his boots out!
